Prof. Dafna Tener is an associate and a senior faculty member at the Paul Baerwald School of Social Work, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She has studied child sexual abuse for 15 years, conducting numerous research projects into survivors’, families’ and professionals’ perceptions of child sexual abuse. In recent years she has been studying sibling sexual abuse, preadolescent child sexual abuse and child sexual abuse within specific social and cultural contexts such as the Ultra-Orthodox community or the LGBTQ+ community. Prof. Tener is a research fellow at the Haruv Institute, a leading organization in Israel for training and engaging in research to help maltreated children.
