Prof. Yochay Nadan and I are currently leading a research group of Master's and Doctoral students and field workers studying sexuality and sexual vulnerability in the LGBTQ+ community. The aim is to understand the meaning of aspects such as abuse perceptions, disclosure, and various contexts, including LGBTQ+ victims from the Arab and Jewish religious communities as well as others. In the article under review, we examined posts on an Israeli Instagram page in which sexually victimized people from the LGBTQ+ community told their stories of abuse. The findings emphasized that the abuse was characterized by four aspects: normalization, routinization, numbing the senses and escalation.
